Anyone familiar with Morrissey will not be surprised to learn that he turned down a multi-million dollar offer to reform his former band The Smiths .

In a 2006 interview with Edith Bowman of UK's "4 Music Presents," he made his feelings clear, saying that "it isn't a question of money, really. It's far too emotional. I can't sing with people I don't really like."

Blessed with a unique songwriting voice and a broad vocal range
Morrissey is described by UK Magazine NME as "one of the most
influential artists ever." And North American fans will get a chance to see him live in concert again in March, when he's scheduled to kick off a tour in support of his new album "Years of Refusal."

In 2006 he played a packed house at the Austin City Music Hall during SxSW, and here are some of the photos I took of his performance.
