Miley Cyrus, MTV ring in New Year from fan's house
Miley Cyrus will surprise a fan--who is being congratulated for spending 2008 helping to better the lives of others--by showing up on his or her doorstep to ring in the New Year as part of MTV's New Year's Eve show, "FNMTV Presents: A Miley-Sized Surprise ... New Year's Eve 2009."
The "Hannah Montana" star will perform from the fan's house after she spends the afternoon hanging out, visiting the winner's friends and participating in activities for the winner's favorite charity, according to a press release. The teen queen also will be showering the lucky fan with gifts and treats, including a performance by Metro Station, throughout the festivities.
Additionally, the special will feature performances from MTV's Times Square studio by All Time Low, The Academy Is ... and Kevin Rudolf. Special in-studio guest emcees will be Aussie twins Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, best known as The Veronicas.
"A Miley-Sized Surprise" will air live Dec. 31 beginning at 8 p.m. ET, with an encore presentation at 10:30 pm ET that will feature a live countdown from Times Square.
