Rapper Soulja Boy Tell 'Em [ tickets ] has announced plans to unveil a new animated series this month that will air exclusively at his website.

"I always wanted to do a cartoon since I was younger," Soulja Boy said in a statement. "I am excited because I think that the subject matter will give my fans what they would expect from me."

Titled "Soulja Boy Tell 'Em: The Animated Series," the show "follows an animated Soulja Boy who is in midst of enjoying his hip-hop superstardom when he's suddenly forced to return to High School," according to a press release, which goes on to say that "Soulja Boy, with the help of his animated friends, is continually doing whatever he can to get out of his daily school routine."

The series is due to premiere late this month, and will combine animation and live action.
