Grammy nominated electronic-rock group LCD Soundsystem [ tickets ] is an American creation, but the New York-based act first struck a chord with the masses overseas. Its track "Daft Punk Is Playing at My House" landed in the UK's Top 40 chart a month after its release in 2005.

Frontman, vocalist and producer James Murphy is the force who created the self-desribed "dance-punk" music for which LCD Soundsystem has become known, and his native country is catching on. In 2007, Time magazine named the LCD Soundsystem single "All My Friends" one of the 10 best songs of the year.
