Coldplay, Kenny Chesney, Jonas Brothers, more sign on for Grammys

Grammy Award nominees Coldplay , Kenny Chesney , Jonas Brothers , Lil Wayne and Katy Perry make up the first batch of artists who are confirmed to perform at next month's 51st Annual Grammy Awards ceremony.

As previously reported, Lil Wayne leads this year's group of nominees with eight nominations, and Coldplay is close behind with nods in seven categories.

Country heavyweight Chesney and relative newcomers Jonas Brothers and Katy Perry, meanwhile, are each in the running for one award apiece, with Chesney vying for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals ("Shiftwork"), Jonas Brothers in contention for Best New Artist, and Perry jockeying for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance ("I Kissed A Girl").

Between now and Feb. 6, fans can upload via CBS's Grammy webpage a 30- to 60-second video of themselves singing along to a portion of Perry's "I Kissed A Girl." Submissions will be voted on by the public, and the most popular ones will be shown as part of Perry's performance at the ceremony during a segment dubbed "My Grammy Moment." More information is available at the site.

The Grammys are set to take place Sunday, Feb. 8, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and will air live on CBS.
