John Legend, Journey join Super Bowl festivities

R&D singer John Legend and classic rockers Journey have been tapped to help kick off Super Bowl XLIII as part of the pre-game festivities at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay on Sunday (2/1), according to a press release.

Legend will be joined by Grammy-nominated rapper T-Pain in performing "Green Light," Legend's current single.

Sunday's appearance marks Legend's second Super Bowl appearance. He performed as part of a Salute to Motown during the Super Bowl XL pregame show in Detroit.

Journey debuted new singer Arnel Pineda last year. The Filipino vocalist was discovered when Journey guitarist Neal Schon saw Pineda's group The Zoo singing covers of Journey songs on YouTube.
