Bon Jovi plots North American tour
With a sold-out stadium tour of Europe and Japan now in the books, New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi have scheduled a tour of North American arenas to open on Nov. 3 in Charlotte, N.C. Confirmed dates currently stretch through November, but more dates will be added soon.
Bon Jovi is supporting its latest album “Crush,” which was released in June. The album is certified platinum for one million copies shipped in the U.S., and it has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide, according to the band’s publicist.
The Bon Jovi single “It’s My Life” is currently at No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. It is the band’s first single to reach the top 40 in five years. The single "This Ain't a Love Song" reached No. 14 on the Hot 100 in 1995.
A VH1 "Storytellers" featuring Bon Jovi is scheduled to air on Sept. 22..
Meanwhile, Bon Jovi namesake Jon Bon Jovi is a nominee for the newly added Most Stylish Band category at the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards. His competition in the category includes Destiny’s Child, No Doubt, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sugar Ray and TLC. The award winner will be announced on Oct. 20 during a live VH1 telecast from New York’s Theater at Madison Square Garden.
