Jewel extends solo acoustic tour
Jewel has added four November dates to her fall touring schedule, according to her official website. The performances--all in California--will feature the musician performing a solo acoustic set. The new dates follow a recently announced series of solo acoustic performances set to take place later this month in California and Nevada.
The new California dates begin on Nov. 15 in Escondido, with subsequent stops in Cerritos, Stockton and Santa Rosa on Nov. 16-18, respectively.
Prior to the start of her solo acoustic tour, Jewel is scheduled to perform with a full band on Sept. 23 in Puyallup, Wash., at the Western Washington State Fair.
“Chasing Down the Dawn,” Jewel’s second book, is due to hit stores on Oct. 3. An audio companion featuring Jewel reading two-and-a-half hours of unabridged selections from the book is also scheduled for release that same day.
Jewel’s next audio release, according to her website, will be the song “Face of Love,” which will be featured on Rosie O’Donnell’s second holiday album “Another Rosie Christmas." That disc is scheduled for an Oct. 24 release, the site said.
“Joy: A Holiday Collection”--Jewel’s 1999 Christmas album--was her last full-length release. That disc was preceded by 1998’s “Spirit.”
