No Doubt offers up free digital catalog
No Doubt is giving fans its entire digital catalog for free with the purchase of a top-price-level ticket to the group's upcoming summer tour.
"Since the band is heading back to the road, we wanted to find a cool way to get people listening to our music and stoke them with a great deal at the same time," guitarist Tom Dumont said in a statement. "With this download, it's easy for fans to get psyched up to hear our music live once again and that rocks."
The free offer, which applies to tickets priced more than $42.50 (before ticketing fees), includes more than 80 songs from No Doubt's seven studio albums, including the band's 1995 break-out release "Tragic Kingdom."
The free digital-download collection also will include "Stand and Deliver," No Doubt's first new recording in years. The song, originally recorded by Adam and The Ants, is only available with the ticket offer. For a sneak peek at "Stand and Deliver," check out the May 11 episode of the CW series "Gossip Girl," during which the band will perform the song in public for the first time, according to a press release.
No Doubt's summer tour kicks off May 2 in Atlantic City, NJ. Tickets for most of the shows go on sale Saturday (3/7).
