Nine Inch Nails [ tickets ] have added more dates to their spring and summer co-headlining trek alongside Jane's Addiction [ tickets ], which was first announced last week.

The two groups will kick off the outing May 8 in West Palm Beach, FL, and continue hitting amphitheaters through June 12 in Charlotte, NC. Two NIN-only dates--a headlining gig at Manchester, TN's Bonnaroo Festival June 13 and a May 29 show in Chicago--are also on the books. The full itinerary is below.

The tour partnership follows the news that NIN frontman Trent Reznor recently spent time in the studio with the original lineup of Jane's Addiction, though there's been no word on whether that studio time will yield any new music for fans. Either way, the two groups will be sharing the stage for the first time since their pairing on the inaugural Lollapalooza bill back in 1999.

Reznor's industrial rock outfit unveiled on the band's website last week that Street Sweeper [ tickets ], a new project featuring Rage Against the Machine guitarist and social activist Tom Morello and The Coup's Boots Riley, will open the shows. The site also says, "We are aiming to make this much more than just three acts sharing a bill."

NIN's most recent studio work, "The Slip," released by Reznor's own label, The Null Corporation, hit shelves last July and is also available for free download on the group's website.

Jane's Addiction's last studio album, "Strays," came out on Capital Records in 2003.
