In the spirit of renewal that comes with springtime, it's fitting to hold such events as the tribute show “The Music of R.E.M. ” What better way to celebrate one of America's most beloved bands than to hold a benefit supporting music education for underprivileged youth?

New York City's Carnegie Hall was completely sold out on Wednesday evening (3/11) for the lineup that featured more than 20 artists. Highlights of the night included Ingrid Michaelson , Calexico , Guster , Dar Williams , Kimya Dawson , Jolie Holland and Patti Smith to name a few.
