The Crystal Method set to spin across US

The Crystal Method will launch their first US tour in five years with an April 17 performance at this year's Coachella Festival, all in support of the duo's forthcoming new album, "Divided By Night."

Following the California festival kick-off, the spring outing will hit Boston's House of Blues May 5, continuing along the East Coast and up into Canada before heading through the South to the West Coast, stopping in clubs, theaters and several House of Blues franchises along the way. The trek currently wraps with a June 14 performance in Salt Lake City. Supporting acts Danger and LA Riots will open some shows. The full itinerary is below.

The DJ duo--comprised of Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland--will celebrate the May 12 release of its fourth studio effort, "Divided By Night," with a performance in Baltimore.

The recently unveiled artwork for the new album, created by Grammy-winning graphic designer Neal Ashby, depicts "a giant globe made up of audio speaker heads hovering in mid air," according to a press release.

The concept was inspired by the view from an airline window, according to Jordan's comments. "The sun was setting in the west. There were spectacular rich colors on the horizon, but on the ground below, it was night."

The pair thought it encapsulated their lives and came up with the album's name and a vision for the artwork.

"We lead pretty normal lives outside of our nights as The Crystal Method," stated Strickland, "and that sunset scene and the concept of leading what sometimes seems like two separate lives just seemed to fit."

The Crystal Method rose to fame in the mid 1990s with fast-paced electronic tracks like "Keep Hope Alive," "Busy Child" and "Name of the Game." "Divided By Night" will be their first full-length release since 2004's "Legion of Boom."
