Billy Ray Cyrus is 'Back,' with help from Miley
Billy Ray Cyrus will coincide the drop of his latest studio effort, "Back to Tennessee," with the opening of his daughter's new film, "Hannah Montana The Movie."
The country crooner and father of teen idol Miley Cyrus will celebrate the album's release April 7, followed by the theater opening of the latest "Hannah Montana" movie April 10.
Produced by Mark Bright (Rascal Flatts), Cyrus' new Walt Disney Records album features a duet with his daughter entitled "Butterfly, Fly Away," which is also included in the upcoming "Hannah Montana" motion picture.
"This album is everything I am at this second," Cyrus explained in a statement. "It's everything that I've been through and every step along the way to this point. Ironically, sometimes looking back--in my case 'Back to Tennessee'--is the best way to move forward."
The country singer, who also stars in his daughter's Disney sitcom, "Hannah Montana," called Tennessee home prior to moving to LA for filming. He first made headlines with his 1992 hit single "Achy Breaky Heart." His most recent release, 2007's "Home at Last," produced a chart-topping hit with the father/daughter duet "Ready, Set, Don't Go."
