Steve Martin to make Opry debut

Steve Martin will make his Grand Ole Opry debut May 30, performing songs from his first musical album, "The Crow: New Songs for the Five-String Banjo." according to press release. The comedian/musician will be joined on the country-music program by Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Stuart Duncan, Tim O'Brien and John McEuen.

Martin, who has been playing banjo since he was a teenager, wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on his album, which features guests including Gill, Dolly Parton and Earl Scruggs. The album, which is being sold exclusively at Amazon.com, will be available at additional music retailers later this year.
