Singer/songwriter Meiko [ tickets ] will embark on her first headlining tour this spring, canvassing the US behind her self-titled debut.

The new springtime jaunt kicks off May 3 in Nashville and has the songstress and her backing band hitting clubs and intimate venues from coast to coast before wrapping up May 30 in Malibu, CA. Indie folk singer Cory Chisel will open most shows. Details are below.

Meiko released her self-titled debut last September through a partnership between her own label--Lucky Ear Music--and MySpace Records. The full-length album landed at the top of iTunes' Singer-Songwriter album chart and at No. 14 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart. The lead single, "Boys With Girlfriends," also scaled the charts, skyrocketing to the No. 1 position on the list of top-performing iTunes Singer-Songwriter Singles.

The Atlanta native and LA transplant got her career started at Hollywood's popular Hotel Cafe, racking up experience before snagging touring gigs with fellow musicians like Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michelson, Brett Dennen, Mat Kearney and Rachael Yamagata.

Several of the LA singer's songs have made it to television, including "Reasons to Love You," which aired on "Grey's Anatomy," and "Said And Done," which played during episodes of "The Cleaner" and "One Tree Hill."

Meiko recently provided guest vocals on The Crystal Method's latest album, "Divided By Night," which hits shelves May 12. She not only co-wrote the track "Falling Hard," but also contributed the lead vocals.
