Little Richard, Chuck Berry play NOLA benefit show

Little Richard and Chuck Berry will appear May 30 at New Orleans Arena for "The Domino Effect," a benefit concert during which artists will perform songs popularized by New Orleans native Fats Domino, according to an Associated Press report.

The concert is a fundraising event for New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees' project to improve the city's parks and schools. The Brees Dream Foundation's "Operation Kids" has raised more than $1.5 million since its 2007 launch.

Domino, 81, has been invited to attend the concert, but will not perform.

The concert also will include performances by Keb Mo, Junior Brown and Taj Mahal. Organizers expect to announce additional artists in the coming weeks.
