Album Chart: Keith Urban snags first No. 1

Keith Urban 's "Defying Gravity" has earned the country crooner his first No. 1 spot on the US album chart, beating out legendary rocker Prince by a small margin.

With 171,000 copies sold its first week in stores, Urban's "Defying Gravity" scaled The Billboard 200 chart, beating his previous high of No. 3 with 2004's "Be Here" and 2006's "Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing." (Billboard bases its flagship album chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail data.)

Meanwhile, Prince lost out on the top spot by just a few thousand copies, as his "LotusFlow3r," available exclusively at Target stores nationwide, came in at No. 2 with first-week sales of 168,000 copies.

Diana Krall enters the chart with a career-high at No. 3 after moving 104,000 copies of "Quiet Nights"; the 30th edition of the "Now That's What I Call Music!" compilation series slips from No. 1 to No. 4 with second-week sales of 87,000 copies; and the "Hannah Montana: The Movie" soundtrack slides from No. 2 to No. 5 with 87,000 albums sold.

Rounding out the Top 10 are UGK news, tour dates, photos and tickets"> UGK 's "UGK 4 Life" at No. 6 with 77,000 copies sold; the "Twilight" soundtrack moves from No. 3 to No. 7 with 73,000; Flo Rida's "R.O.O.T.S." comes in at No. 8 with 55,000; Lady GaGa's "The Fame" drops two slots to No. 9 with 51,000; and Taylor Swift 's "Fearless" rounds out the album chart at No. 10 with 42,000.
