Rock the Bells Festival returns with Nas, Common, The Roots

The traveling hip-hop festival Rock the Bells will return this summer with headliners Nas , Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley , The Roots and Common set to appear.

The summertime event will hit 10 cities across North America--Chicago; Toronto, Ontario; Washington, DC; Boston; New York City; Denver; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Miami and Vancouver, British Columbia--beginning June 27 and running each weekend through Aug. 9. Exact dates and venues for each stop have not yet been revealed.

This year's roster currently boasts 25 confirmed acts, with more artist announcements expected in the coming weeks. Nas and Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley will perform material from their forthcoming collaboration, "Distant Relatives," which hits shelves June 23, while The Roots will take a break from their house-band duties on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" to headline Rock the Bells.

Other artists to hit the festival's two stages include Common, Big Boi of OutKast, KRS-One, House of Pain, RZA of Wu-Tang, Sage Francis, Slaughterhouse, K'naan, Tech N9ne and Reflection Eternal.

In previous years, Rock the Bells has hosted Rage Against the Machine, Jay-Z, A Tribe Called Quest, The Pharcyde, Public Enemy, Lauren Hill, Blackstar, Busta Rhymes and Jurassic 5, among others.

Last year's production was the first to go international, with stops in Prague, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Helsinki, Paris and London. So far, no international dates have been announced for this year's event.
