Though the members of alt-rock group Yeah Yeah Yeahs now come across as consummate New Yorkers, founding members Karen O (vocals) and Brian Chase (drums), first cut their teeth in Oberlin, OH.

The duo became a trio in 2000 with the addition of guitarist Nick Zinner, and in 2006 they brought guitarist Imaad Wasif on board to help out on their first major tour. To date the YYYs have three studio albums. The latest, entitled "It's Blitz!" featuring the single "Zero," hit the streets last month to rave reviews.

Fans can catch a glimpse of the band and get a preview of its next tour tomorrow night (4/11) when the group performs on NBC's "Saturday Night Live." Those with Coachella Festival tickets in hand can look forward to catching Yeah Yeah Yeahs in the flesh on Sunday (4/19).

LiveDaily's Tim Mosenfelder was at the Virgin Festival in Baltimore, MD, in 2007 and caught the band in action. Here are some of his photos.
