Moody Blues return for US summer run

The Moody Blues will return to the tour trail this summer for a sweeping stateside trek.
The British rockers--anchored by mainstay members singer/guitarist Justin Hayward, singer/bassist John Lodge and drummer Graeme Edge--will hit the road beginning July 21 in San Diego, stopping by theaters in 34 cities across the country. The tour, which includes a five-date swing through Canada, wraps up Sept. 5 in St. Louis. Details are shown below.
The prog-rock outfit, which has enjoyed a career spanning more than four decades, is touring in support of the group's most recent album, 2007's "Live at the BBC 1967-1970." The double-disc set features 41 tracks from their 1960s performances at London's BBC Studios.
Last summer, The Moody Blues re-issued their first seven albums--1967's "Days of Future Passed," 1968's "In Search of the Lost Chord," 1969's "On the Threshold of a Dream," 1969's "To Our Children's Children's Children," 1970's "Question of Balance," 1971's "Every Good Boy Deserves Favour" and 1972's "Seventh Sojourn"--with each disc containing bonus tracks, alternate versions, outtakes and more.
According to an early 2007 interview with syndicated radio show "Acoustic Storm," Lodge said a new studio effort was "not far away," though no further information has been revealed.
