Blue October continues 'Normal' outing

Blue October has extended into late summer its in-progress run of North America behind its freshly dropped album, "Approaching Normal."

The modern-rock quintet, who will continue their spring trek with a sold-out show Friday (5/1) at New York City's Webster Hall, has added 16 cities to the current outing, which kicked off on the West Coast in mid-March. Two Canadian stops--May 19 in Toronto and May 20 in Montreal--are among the latest additions to the itinerary, which is included below. The summer run is now slated to wrap up May 17 in Columbus, OH.

The Austin-based rockers released their fifth studio album, "Approaching Normal," March 24. The record, which was produced by Steve Lillywhite and recorded at Willie Nelson's Pedernales Studios, debuted at No. 13 on The Billboard 200 and peaked at No. 4 on the magazine's Top Modern Rock/Alternative Albums chart.

"Approaching Normal" follows the band's 2006 release, "Foiled," which spawned the hit single "Hate Me." That cut landed at No. 2 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart and garnered regular play on mainstream radio stations nationwide.
