Flu scare sidelines a handful of US events

Young Jeezy 's Thursday (4/30) night concert at the Bob Carpenter Center on the University of Delaware campus was canceled in light of the recent incidents of influenza, according to school officials.

The concert was just one of numerous events the university canceled after Delaware's Division of Public Health received confirmation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that four UD students tested positive for swine flu, according to the university website.

A complete list of canceled UD events can be found at the university's website; information about how to obtain refunds for the Young Jeezy show will be posted at that site once it becomes available.

The outbreak of swine flu also has forced the cancellation of Cornelius ' upcoming Mexico and US tour. The Japanese performer was scheduled to kick off his North American outing May 8 at Lunario in Mexico City, followed by a May 9 show in Guadalajara.

Cornelius then was scheduled to head to California for shows in San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Los Angeles and Pomona.

Cornelius hopes to return to North America in 2010 upon the release of his forthcoming album, according to a statement on his MySpace page.
