Question: How does a cover band steal the thunder from an A-lister? Answer: When the cover band's lead singer looks and sounds identical to the real thing.

Although headlined by the likes of No Doubt and Fall Out Boy , the big surprise at this year's Bamboozle Music Festival was the Journey cover band Evolution--specifically the Steve Perry double known as Hugo. Hugo apparently was so convincing that the crowd spontaneously erupted into song and parents who were half asleep in the parking lot came running toward the stage. Perhaps understandable, from a distance you say? Except that some of the most seasoned concert photographers and press were also fooled, thinking they were getting the scoop of the century.

The massive Bamboozle lineup also included acts like Shwayze , Third Eye Blind , Gavin Rossdale , Asher Roth , Cobra Starship , Horror Pops, Boys Like Girls , Bayside , The Used and Rise Against.

LiveDaily contributing photographer Christopher Owyoung was there to catch photos of the event, and here are some of his best shots.
