Limp Bizkit offers backstage passes for life

Limp Bizkit has revealed plans to circulate a number of special prize-winning copies of its new album, according to the group’s newly-revamped website. The album is scheduled to hit stores on Oct. 17.

Prize-winning copies of the album “Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water” will contain a gold CD autographed by the band and a laminate letting the buyer know he or she is a winner. Disc cases containing the special loot will entitle its buyer to either a Paul Reed Smith guitar or a Remo drumhead personally signed by Limp Bizkit, or the grand prize of lifetime backstage passes for the winner and three friends.

“That means anytime, anywhere that Limp is headlining … you’re chillin’ backstage,” reads the contest announcement.

Those who want to have a shot at the prizes, but won’t be buying the disc right away, can also enter to win via the band’s official website beginning on Oct. 17.

Earlier this week, Limp Bizkit announced plans to head out on a North American tour with Eminem, Papa Roach and Xzibit. That run is set to get underway on Oct. 19, and has dates scheduled until Nov. 15.
