(RED)Nights fights AIDS with new concert series

Santigold , Fall Out Boy , O.A.R. and The All-American Rejects will be among the acts participating in a new concert series designed to help eliminate AIDS in Africa, according to a press release.

The (RED)Nights series, presented by (RED) and Live Nation, will be comprised of 26 shows at select clubs and theaters across the US.

The Veronicas will kick off the series June 12 at the House of Blues in New Orleans. Santigold will follow with a June 18 show at HoB in Dallas.

O.A.R. is scheduled to perform at two (RED)Nights events, Aug. 13-14, at Bank of America Pavilion in Boston.

Additional artists scheduled to participate include Gomez and Lisa Hannigan.

Updates--including artists, cities, venues and ticketing information--will be posted as it becomes available at the (RED)Nights official livenation.com.

In addition to lending their talent to the concert series, the (RED)Nights artists will participate in (RED)Wire, a new digital-music service that recently was launched by the AIDS awareness organization.
