Carrie Underwood to deliver farewell song on 'American Idol'
Carrie Underwood will return to the stage that made her famous when she performs next Tuesday (5/19) on "American Idol."
The Season 4 "American Idol" winner will cover Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home" on the season's final performance episode. The song has served as the goodbye theme for eliminated Top 12 contestants.
Underwood's rendition is available on iTunes; a portion of the proceeds from the digital single will go to The Humane Society of the United States, according to a press release.
The four-time Grammy winner's most recent release is 2007's "Carnival Ride," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has remained on the chart for 80 weeks.
