U.K. Charts: Madonna, Mariah Carey & Westlife stay at No. 1

Madonna 's latest LP "Music" stayed at the top of the Official U.K. Album Chart for a second week in a row on Sunday (10/1). The toughest competition she faced this week came from Australian pop star Kylie Minogue , whose eighth album "Light Years" entered the chart at No. 2 and was certified gold after selling 200,000 copies.

Robbie Williams latest album "Sing When Youre Winning" slid one place to No. 3, and former Dire Straits singer Mark Knopflers latest album "Sailing to Philadelphia" was a new entry at No. 4. Craig Davids "Born to Do It" fell two places from No. 3 to No. 5 as did Eminems "The Marshall Mathers LP" from No. 4 to No. 6.

Other new entries in the Top 10 included David Bowies BBC recording sessions "Bowie at the Beeb," which debuted at No. 7, and Gomezs b-sides album "Abandoned Shopping Trolley Hotline" at No. 10.

There was also no change at No. 1 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart as Mariah Carey and Westlifes "Against All Odds" hung on to the top spot for another week. Zombie Nations "Kernkraft 400" also stayed at No. 2 for a second week in a row.

The highest new singles entry this week was achieved by dance group the Architects featuring Nana, whose singles Body Groove debuted at No. 3. They beat Spice Girl Melanie B's solo single "Tell Me," which debuted at No. 4.

Meanwhile Modjos "Lady (Hear Me Tonight)" fell from No. 3 to No. 5 and Anastacias "Im Outta Love" moved up one place to No. 6. Teenage pop star Billie Piper took a plunge from No. 4 to No. 12 as did Sisqo from No. 6 to No. 11.

Other notable new entries on this weeks chart included Roni Size and Reprazent at No. 17, Placebo at No. 19 and the Beautiful South at No. 22.
