Paul van Dyk plans 'Volume' support tour
Electronic DJ Paul van Dyk has mapped out a late spring/early summer run of the US behind his forthcoming anthology, "The Best of Paul van Dyk: Volume."
The outing, which comes on the heels of a just-wrapped European leg, kicks off with two shows this weekend: Saturday (5/23) in San Francisco and Sunday (5/24) in Las Vegas. Following a nearly three-week hiatus, the Grammy-nominated musician will pick back up June 11 in Phoenix and continue canvassing the US through late June. Details are shown below.
The US portion of the world tour will wrap up with van Dyk's sixth annual summertime performance in New York City, which takes place June 29 at Central Park's Rumsey Playfield. Tickets for that show are available now via Live Nation.
"The Best of Paul van Dyk: Volume" is set to hit shelves June 9, though the album will be released digitally via iTunes May 26. The new compilation of hits follows van Dyk's 2007 effort, "In Between," which came in at No. 115 on The Billboard 200 and charted No. 2 on the magazine's Top Electronic Albums list.
The international composer also scored the theme music for EA Sports' "Grand Slam Tennis" for the Nintendo Wii. The sports game will be available at retailers June 15.
