Eminem, Bon Jovi among U.S. nominees for MTV Europe Awards
American acts dominated this years MTV Europe Music Awards nominations as Bon Jovi and Eminem were both nominated in three categories. Bon Jovi is up for Best Album, Best Group and Best Rock Act, while Eminem is in the running for Best Album, Best Male Artist and Best Hip Hop Act.
However, British pop star Robbie Williams garnered the most nominations of any male as he was tapped for Best Male Artist, Best Pop Act, Best Song and Best U.K. and Ireland Act.
Meanwhile, Melanie C, Britney Spears and Madonna were each tapped for three awards. The solo Spice Girl Melanie C was nominated for Best Female Artist, Best New Act and Best Song, while Spears was nominated for Best Female Artist, Best Pop Act and Best Song. Madonna was nominated for Best Female Artist, Best Dance Act and Best Song.
Other American artists up for nominations include Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Janet Jackson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Backstreet Boys and Limp Bizkit.
The winners of the MTV Europe Awards 2000 will be announced at a ceremony, which will be hosted by Fugees member Wyclef Jean, in Stockholm, Sweden, on Nov. 16.
