RX Bandits [ tickets ] and Dredg will hit the road together this summer in support of their respective impending releases, "Mandala" and "The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion."

The co-headlining tour gets underway July 8 in Anaheim, CA, hitting clubs and theaters across the nation before returning to the West Coast for a two-night finale Aug. 30-31 in Los Angeles. Highlights of the 28-city trek include two-night stands in Tuscon, AZ (7/11-12) and New York (7/30-31). The full schedule is below.

Special guests Good Old War, Zechs Marquise and As Tall As Lions will take turns providing opening support.

RX Bandits will follow up their 2007 live album, "Live from Bonnaroo 2007," with "Mandala," which hits shelves July 28.

"I'm so proud of the new record," guitarist/keyboardist Steve Choi said on the band's website. "I have instantly taken a liking to it like no other record we've done."

The California-based group has footage from the album's recording sessions streaming at the band's website.

Meanwhile, fellow prog-rock outfit Dredg is preparing for the release of the band's new album, "The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion." The record drops June 9 and is currently available for pre-sale via the band's website. A vinyl version will also be released, along with a limited-edition set featuring different artwork and packaging. The forthcoming collection marks the group's fourth studio effort and latest since 2005's "Catch Without Arms."
