Singer/songwriters Wreckless Eric and Amy Rigby will set out on the road this summer for a headlining tour as they continue to support their debut album as a duo.

The British Eric (born Eric Goulden) and American Rigby kick off the tour July 7 in Pittsburgh, with the trek running through a July 28 show in Cleveland. Other highlights on the 13-city outing include stops in Atlanta (7/10) and New York City (7/22). Details are included below.

" Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby [ tickets ]," the couple's eponymous debut, surfaced last fall on the revitalized Stiff label. Goulden's return to Stiff surprised many fans in light of his acrimonious breakup with the label 28 years ago; he initially emerged as part of the first batch of artists Stiff signed in the mid-'70s, along with fellow New Wave acts Ian Dury and Elvis Costello, among others.

"I got tired of people asking if I was bitter about how things went," Eric said in a press statement. "It's a long time ago now--in the words of an old Stiff slogan: 'He's Not The Same, We're Not The Same.' When Trevor Horn and SPZ took over the label, I called them. I said, 'The music might be your property, but its my life. I don't want to give you a hard time, I just want to get involved.' And they said 'Great, that's just what we want.' We've had a good relationship for something like 10 years now, so when we were looking for a label to release a new album, Stiff was an obvious choice."

After appearing with several New York City bands in the '80s, Rigby released her solo debut, "Diary of a Mod Housewife," in 1996. The singer has released five studio albums, most recently 2005's "Little Fugitive."

According to a press release, the pair is currently working on their second effort together, this time an album of covers.
