Widespread Panic to play Voodoo Experience

Widespread Panic will perform in New Orleans Halloween weekend as part of the 11th annual Voodoo Experience festival, according to a press release. The Athens, GA, band frequently has performed a Halloween show in NOLA and is pleased to be retuning once again as part of the Voodoo Experience, according to a statement.

"We have discussed the idea of bringing these two New Orleans Halloween traditions together for years, it only took us 11 years to get it done," said VE founder Stephen Rehage in a statement. "Voodoo and Panic kind of grew up together in New Orleans, endured and returned from the storm, so it's special for us to be working together with them."

Details regarding the Widespread Panic performance as well as the complete line-up for the Voodoo Experience are expected to surface in the coming months. This year's VE fest runs from Oct. 30 through Nov. 1.
