Foo Fighters ready for North American fall tour
Foo Fighters plan to kick off the latest leg of their tour in support of 1999’s “There Is Nothing Left to Lose” with an Oct. 20 show in Phoenix, according to the group’s official website. Tickets for many of the 14 upcoming dates are already on sale, while advance pre-sales to several shows have just begun or will begin in the coming days.
Online advance tickets for the group’s Nov. 1 show in St. Louis and Nov. 3 show in Atlanta became available on Thursday (10/5), while online advance tickets for the Nov. 12 New York City and Nov. 14 Washington, D.C. shows will be available starting on Monday, Oct. 9th at 5 p.m. ET. Information on obtaining advance tickets can be found on the band’s official website.
In addition to the group’s upcoming headlining tour of North America, Foo Fighters will also be performing at the annual Bridge School Benefit in San Francisco on Oct. 28 and Oct. 29. The band has also been added to the roster of acts participating in the annual Rock in Rio festival, set to take place in Brazil in January of 2001.
Foo Fighters spent the first half of its summer opening for Stone Temple Pilots, and then participated in Canada's Summersault 2000 festival tour in August. The group then traveled to Europe, where it performed at a number of festival shows.
"There Is Nothing Left to Lose" was released last November. Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl can also be heard on Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi's upcoming solo album, which is set for release on Oct. 17, according to Iommi's official website. Grohl sings on the track "Goodbye Lament."
