Mariah Carey's new album set for late summer release

Mariah Carey 's 12th studio album, "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel," is set to hit stores Aug. 25, according to a press release.
The album's first single, "Obsessed," was released to radio stations yesterday (6/16). The song was written and produced by Carey, The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, who also worked on the majority of tracks on the new album.
"Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel" is the follow-up to Carey's 2008's "E=MC(2)." That album featured the record-breaking cut "Touch My Body," which made history when it became Carey's 18th No. 1 hit on Billboard's Hot 100 chart--surpassing Elvis Presley's record. The Beatles hold the all-time high of 20 No. 1 songs on that chart.
