Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley dominate CMT Music Awards

For the second consecutive year, Taylor Swift wept the Video of the Year and Female Video of Year categories at the annual CMT Music Awards , taking home a couple of belt-buckle-shaped trophies for "Love Story."

"I wore a corset for two days straight in the middle of the summer, and I learned to waltz," the teen sensation said in a press release following her Tuesday night (6/16) award wins. "I want to thank the fans from the bottom of my heart for giving me awards for that!"

Taylor--who joins Toby Keith and Keith Urban as one of only three musicians to win twice for Video of the Year--performed "You Belong With Me" backed by her high school dance team, and "Pour Some Sugar on Me" alongside Def Leppard. The country superstar's 2008 CMT Crossroads concert with the English rockers, one of the series' most successful to date, hit Walmart and Sam's Club shelves yesterday (6/16).

Brad Paisley garnered the most wins, snagging awards for Male Video of the Year for "Waitin' On a Woman," Collaborative Video of the Year with Keith Urban for "Start a Band" and Performance of the Year alongside Alan Jackson , George Strait and Dierks Bentley for their rendition of "Country Boy" on "CMT Giants: Alan Jackson."

For the seventh year in a row, Rascal Flatts won Group Video of the Year for "Every Day," while Sugarland took home a Duo Video of the Year trophy for the third consecutive year, this time for "All I Want to Do."

Hosted by actor/comedian Bill Engvall, the awards program opened with a comedic montage featuring Swift living her dreams as a character in the recent "Star Trek" blockbuster, playing in the NFL and rapping alongside T-Pain . Dierks Bentley kicked off the live show with "Sideways," his most recent hit.

The CMT Music Awards featured 19 live performances in all, including Darius Rucker's "Alright," Lady Antebellum's "Lookin' For a Good Time," Keith Urban's "Sweet Thing" and Toby Keith's "God Love Her."

The evening's winners were chosen by a record seven million fans who voted via text message and online at CMT's website.
