Uncle Kracker sets release date for 'Happy Hour'

Uncle Kracker will release his new album, "Happy Hour," on Sept. 15, according to a press release.

"Smile," the first single from the 12-song collection, premiered last week on Entertainment Weekly's music website, The Music Mix, and is now streaming at the artist's official website.

"Happy Hour," produced by Rob Cavello, is the follow-up to 2004's "Seventy Two and Sunny." In a statement, Kid Rock said the upcoming release is undoubtedly Uncle Kracker's best-written record.

Uncle Kracker initially was known for his role as a DJ in Kid Rock's Twisted Brown Trucker band; he also co-wrote a number of Rock's hits, including "Bawitdaba," "Cowboy," "Forever," "Only God Knows Why" and "All Summer Long."
