Tool, Linkin Park headline inaugural Epicenter Festival

Southern California will witness the birth of a new summer festival this August when Epicenter--headlined by Tool and Linkin Park--hits Pomona.

The one-day event will take place Aug. 22 at Pomona, CA's Fairplex with 12 acts set to perform on multiple stages throughout the day, according to a press release.

Confirmed performers also include Alice in Chains, Wolfmother, Atmosphere, Hollywood Undead, Atreyu, Street Sweeper Social Club, Aesop Rock and Sonny, with more artists to be announced in the coming weeks.

"Talk about a killer lineup," Linkin Park co-frontman Chester Bennington said in a press release. "If we weren't performing, we'd come just to see all the bands. This is gonna be our only North American gig all year and we promise to make it a show to remember."

General admission and VIP tickets go on sale June 27 via Ticketmaster. (LiveDaily is an operating unit of Ticketmaster Entertainment, which also owns Ticketmaster.)
