Musicfest NW announces initial line-up

Bad Brains , Girl Talk , Sunny Day Real Estate and Mudhoney are among the acts confirmed for this year's Willamette Week's Musicfest NW, to be held Sept. 16-19 at various venues around the Portland, OR, metropolitan area. Explosions in the Sky, Beach House and Pains of Being Pure at Heart are also among the numerous national and regional acts on the bill, according to a press release.
A select number of performances from the event will be broadcast live from The Doug Fir Lounge by Seattle's KEXP listener-powered and community-supported radio. The station also plans to stream the performances via its website.
