Keb' Mo' [ tickets ] has added a substantial number of dates to his in-progress trek through North America, which now takes the blues musician into late fall.

The Grammy-winning performer, who has been on the road since mid-May, will continue the trip tomorrow night (6/27) in Redmond, WA. Since last check, 24 dates have been tacked onto the itinerary, many of them festivals throughout the continent, including Sioux Falls, SD's Jazz & Blues Fest (7/18), Burnaby, British Columbia's Blues & Roots Fest (8/9) and Urbana, IL's Wall to Wall Guitar Fest (9/11), among others. Mo' released "Suitcase," his eighth studio album, in the summer of 2006. The John Porter-produced effort topped Billboard's Top Blues Albums chart and followed 2004's "Peace...Back by Popular Demand."

Late last month, the bluesman took part in The Domino Effect, a tribute concert celebrating the life and work of Fats Domino. The New Orleans event also featured B.B. King, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Wyclef Jean, Taj Mahal and Junior Brown. Proceeds from the star-studded evening benefited the Brees Dream Foundation, which builds and updates local playgrounds and outdoor recreation sites throughout New Orleans.

Mo' released the single "A Brand New America" in January, in time for President Barack Obama's inauguration. The performer is recording a new album, which is expected to surface sometime this year, according to his website.
