Ashcroft expands tour to accommodate British fans

update: Richard Ashcroft has added four dates to his upcoming U.K. & Ireland mini-tour due to popular demand. The outing will now comprise nine shows in Birmingham, Manchester, and London, England, as well as Dublin, Ireland, and Glasgow, Scotland.

The current tour will also include a 10-date North American venture beginning on Nov. 4 in Chicago and finishing up in Vancouver, B.C., on Nov. 18.

The debut album from the former Verve frontman, who began his solo career in 1999, is currently at No. 28 on the Official U.K. Album Chart; it entered it 14 weeks ago at No. 1. The LP has also sold over 200,000 copies and been certified gold.
