Nine Inch Nails unveil final tour dates
Nine Inch Nails have rolled out the details for a brief slate of late-summer shows that the group is billing as its last-ever performances.
The band's swan song will begin with a late-August, four-night stand in New York City that is spread across three different venues; a two-night run in Chicago; and an early September four-night stretch in Los Angeles that will take place at a different venue each night. Details are included below.
"And that, as they say, is THAT," NIN founder Trent Reznor wrote in a Twitter post after announcing the dates via the popular social-networking service. "Additional support info to follow when we iron it out."
A ticket pre-sale for all of the new dates is set to take place July 17 via NIN's website, according to Reznor's announcement.
Early this week, Reznor--who originally had said that NIN's recently completed co-headlining tour with Jane's Addiction would mark his group's final North American dates--told fans he'd had a change of heart.
"Upon reflection, the NIN/JA tour felt like we had to rush through sets due to a limited allotted set length and many shows were in daylight--it just didn't feel right to end NIN that way," he wrote in a message posted at NIN's website. "An offer to headline V-Fest in Toronto (being announced soon) set the idea in motion to play some FUN shows to end this up with. If we can get it together we'll film these shows, too."
