Deadmau5 hits the turntables behind 'Better Name'

Deadmau5 (pronounced 'dead mouse'), the electronic alter ego of DJ/producer Joel Zimmerman, is set to launch an extensive North American tour this summer behind "For Lack of a Better Name."
The Canadian-based musician, donning his signature mouse-head mask, will first perform a month's worth of club shows beginning Aug. 2 in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, before officially kicking off the US leg of the "For Lack of a Better Name" world tour Sept. 23 in Ottawa. The four-month outing, which ventures back and forth between the US and Canada for most of the run, concludes with a Nov. 24 performance in Boston. Details are included below.
"For Lack of a Better Name," slated for a Sept. 22 release, follows Zimmerman's 2008 debut, "Random Album Title." Two songs on the new set--the title track and "Ghosts 'N' Stuff," a single currently streaming at the artist's MySpace page--feature special guest Rob Swire of Pendulum.
Deadmau5 not only won a 2008 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year for the Bily Newton-Davis collaboration "All U Ever Want," but also received a Grammy nomination in the Best Remixed Recording Non-Classical category for "The Longest Road" with Morgan Page featuring Lissie. (The trophy went to Justice for the duo's remix of MGMT's "Electric Feel.")
