Moby gets live this fall
Moby will move out from behind the turntables and strap on a guitar for a US tour behind his recently released album "Wait For Me."
The tour marks the first time since 2005 that Moby has toured the US with a live band, according to a press statement. In 2007, Moby formed a band that came to be known as The Little Death NYC (to differentiate from other bands using the Little Death moniker), though that project didn't venture beyond New York and Los Angeles shows.
"Wait For Me" has garnered a number of critical accolades since its late-June release, and debuted at No. 22 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The singer/DJ also worked with file-hosting platform Soundcloud to release a Facebook application that lets fans stream the album online and share with friends.
During the upcoming tour, Moby will play many of the instruments he handled in the studio, including guitar, keyboards, percussion and an occasional turn on lead vocals.
A pre-sale for the tour begins Wednesday (7/15) at Concertmaps.
