Scary clown hip-hop duo Insane Clown Posse [ tickets ] is plotting a return to the road later this year behind the group's forthcoming new album, "Bang! Pow! Boom!"

The pair has lined up initial dates for a tour that will eventually include "at least 64 cities," according to the group's label, Psychopathic Records, kicking off for the moment Sept. 17 in Minneapolis, and continuing into early December. In August, the duo will once again host their annual Gathering of the Juggalos outdoor festival. The multi-day event, which began in 2000 in Novi, MI, will return Aug. 6-9 to Cave-In-Rock, IL, for the third consecutive year. Apart from ICP, confirmed acts for the festival include Ice Cube, Tech N9ne, Kottonmouth Kings, Gwar and Coolio. More information can be found at the event's official website.

"Bang! Pow! Boom!," the group's 11th studio album, and first since 2007, is due to surface Sept. 1. The album was produced by longtime ICP associate Mike E. Clark, and recorded over a six-month period at Funhouse Studios in the band's native Detroit.

"This album will break your neck," the duo's Joseph Utsler (Shaggy 2) Dope promised in a press release. "When you play it your speakers will straight up break your neck."

The duo's previous release, 2007's "The Tempest," debuted at No. 20 on The Billboard 200, selling about 33,000 copies in its first week on store shelves.
