Gossip unleashes excursion behind 'Music For Men'

Soul-rockers Gossip have mapped out a major-market run this fall in support of their new album, "Music For Men."

Following its in-progress European tour, the Portland, OR-based trio will kick off its headlining run Oct. 7 in Washington, DC, followed by club and theater shows across the nation through the Oct. 30 wrap-up in Little Rock, AR. The full schedule is shown below.

Gossip--comprised of singer Beth Ditto, guitarist/bassist Brace Paine and drummer Hannah Blilie--released its fourth studio effort last month. The Rick Rubin-produced record follows 2006's "Standing in the Way of Control."

"We kept it really simple," Paine explained about the new album on the band's website. "There's usually not more than two things going on at once on the record. I thought a lot about how it's gonna sound live."

The record's lead single, "Heavy Cross," currently is available for free download as iTune's Single of the Week, while the music video currently is streaming at the band's website.
