Country superstar Alan Jackson [ tickets ] has added more dates to his in-progress tour of North America behind last year's "Good Time."

The journey, which began with a free concert June 10 in Nashville, continues July 25 with a performance at Alexander City, AL's AquaPalooza. Since last check, five shows have been added to the itinerary, including a two-night stand Sept. 17-18 in Windsor, Ontario. The trek concludes Nov. 20 in Red Deer, Alberta, following a week's worth of Canadian stops. Details are below.

"Good Time," the country singer's 15th studio set, has produced three hit singles since its March 2008 release: "Small Town Southern Man," "Country Boy" and the title track. The record marks the Jackson's fourth release to simultaneously debut at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums chart.

"Sissy's Song," the album's latest single, hits close to home for the award-winning country singer. Inspired by the tragic death of an employee in 2007, the track has peaked at No. 9 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. A video for the cut, shot in black-and-white and directed by Scott Scovill, is in regular rotation on CMT.

Jackson, who's been a regular on the country scene since his 1989 debut "Here in the Real World," turned down the opportunity to record "Chicken Fried," a song that subsequently became a breakthrough hit for the Zac Brown Band.

"I liked the song," Jackson explains on his website, "but I told [producer Keith Stegall], 'Man, I just had a song about cornbread and chicken, and I had a song about bologna. Every album I've got has these songs about food, so I just don't think I want to do one about chicken fried right now. In retrospect I should have done it."
