Indigo Girls continue 'Poseidon' journey into fall

On the road since early spring, the Indigo Girls will continue their US support tour behind "Poseidon and the Bitter Bug" with an added fall leg.

The lengthy outing, which got underway in February, continues tonight (7/24) in Portland, OR. The summer portion concludes Monday (7/27) in Boise, ID, after which the duo--Emily Saliers and Amy Ray--will take a nearly two-month break before returning to the road Sept. 17 in Asheville, NC. The new fall leg currently includes 11 theater stops through early October. The full schedule is below.

During the summertime hiatus, Ray will embark on a two-week solo tour beginning Aug. 7 in Walhalla, MI, hitting clubs in eight cities throughout the Midwest and East Coast.

"Poseidon and the Bitter Bug," the folk rockers' 11th studio set, hit shelves in March. The two-disc release debuted at No. 29 on The Billboard 200 and marked the pair's first album on their own IG Recordings label.

The Grammy-winning duo continues partnering with Rock for a Remedy for the summer dates, accepting non-perishable food items and pet food from concertgoers and donating them to local food banks. Fans who contribute four or more items will be entered into a nightly drawing to win Indigo Girls memorabilia, including a signed copy of "Poseidon and the Bitter Bug."

Ray, who started the not-for-profit label Daemon Records in 2004, has released four solo albums, the most recent of which is last year's "Didn't It Feel Kinder."
