As they work their way through North America, alt-rock veterans Green Day [ tickets ] have added to their in-progress tour a gallery of visual artistic renderings of the songs on their latest album, "21st Century Breakdown."

Described in a press statement as a "roving gallery show," the showcase draws from 17 international artists who created works inspired by the 18 songs on the album. The full list of artists is available at Green Day's website.

New York artist Logan Hicks curated the collection and created a set of portraits of the members of Green Day, which will accompany the gallery on tour.

"We are really excited to be touring with this incredible show," Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said in a press release. "Seeing the pieces that our new album has inspired is very exciting. Many of the artists Logan has chosen show their work on the street, and we feel a strong connection to that type of creative expression."

The tour kicked off July 3 in Seattle, and currently is set to wind up its North American leg on Aug. 25 in Los Angeles before moving on across Europe, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

The arena trek was preceded by a number of intimate club shows, much like the rollout of the 2005 tour behind "American Idiot."
