Alice Cooper extends trek into fall

Alice Cooper will continue his latest assault on the theaters and nightclubs of America this fall after he finishes up his current traipse through the fair circuit.

The new dates on Cooper's schedule kick off with a Sept. 17 appearance in York, PA, and continue through a three-night stand in Las Vegas beginning Oct. 23. Dates are below.

The old-school shock-rocker tapped into the new-fangled world of the Internet to help promote his latest studio album, last year's "Along Came a Spider," which tells the story of a serial killed named Spider who uses the limbs of his victims to turn himself into a virtual spider.

"I do see the advantage in it," Cooper said of promoting himself through new technologies during an interview with LiveDaily last fall. "I let other people handle that, but what I do have control over is what's on [the Internet]. I go, 'Lemme see the artwork, let me control that.' Once the artwork is done and the message is there I say, 'OK, put it out however you want to put it out. If you want to do a pinball machine, great, do it.'"

"Along Came a Spider: The Movie," a 10-minute-long teaser video featuring three of the album's cuts, is available for viewing through Cooper's MySpacepage.

Born Vincent Damon Furnier in 1948, Cooper broke into the music business in the late '60s. He scored his first hit with the cut "I'm Eighteen," featured on 1971's "Love It to Death."
