Fans turned out in wet-weather gear and painted faces to the tune of approximately 70,000 for a rainy Day 1 of Lollapalooza 2009.
The lineup on Friday (8/7) featured headliners Depeche Mode . Other artists on the bill included Of Montreal and Janelle Monae , who performed together, The Decemberists , Peter Bjorn and John , Fleet Foxes , Bon Iver , Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears, Other Lives, Heartless Bastards and British synth-rock group White Lies .
Thankfully, LiveDaily photographer Tim Mosenfelder managed to keep his cameras dry, and here are some of his best shots.
